Respect for the Laws = Organ Transplants
OPEN NETWORK began with the realization of the project „Respect for the Laws= Organ Transplants“ which is funded by CCI.
The basic idea of this project is to engage the authorities towards the adoption of the budget for the implementation of the already adopted legislation, and, hence, the performance of the organ transplants in BiH. It is of the strategic importance for the process of accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EU that the law on transplantation is well designed and implemented, because transplantation represents one of the priorities of the EU in the field of health. This project depicts the first activity in a series of activities that lead to the mentioned. The project realization is planned in three phases and the whole project will last one year. In the first phase, the provision of the documents is planned; the creation of the analysis of the implementation of the existing legislation on transplantation in both entities in BiH and the projection of the necessary finances for the proper implementation of the laws in practice. In the second phase of the project, we will advocate for the adoption of the budget that will enable the implementation of the entity laws on organ transplants. We also planned to conduct a marketing campaign that will affect:
(a) the competent authorities to plan the budget for 2012 and allocate the funds for the realization of the mentioned legislation, and
(b) public opinion in order to increase the public pressure and send a clear demand to facilitate the implementation of the laws on organ transplants in BiH.
In the third phase of the project, the implementation of the monitoring process of the realization of the targeted legislation is planned.
Project completion is scheduled for July next year (2013).
