ON: Vladimir Jovičić – another young man’s life rescued
Vladimir Jovičić, a-twenty-eight-year old from Pale, landed at the International Airport Sarajevo this morning after a successfully performed operation in Istanbul.
At the International Airport Sarajevo, Vlado was welcomed as a hero by his family and friends, what he really is.
After he saw his 20-month-old son, it was hard to hide tears in his eyes. “I’m aware that this is not the end, and ahead of me are three years of fighting with this disease, but it is much easier because the pain that I have is far less “, said Vladimir without hiding his satisfaction. Vladimir had effusion of blood in the brain, on May 21, 2012, and went to the Clinical Center Koševo, where he was diagnosed arterial-venous malformation which is in a very risky place, so the opinion of the doctors was that emergency trip to Istanbul is necessary, where the only possible treatment is with “gamma knife” rays.
Since, due to the poor financial and social situation, he was unable to go on emergency surgery , Vladimir’s sister had contacted OPEN NETWORK two months ago. After great efforts of his sister Željka and OPEN NETWORK, Vlado went to the prestigious Acibadem hospital in Istanbul, on Monday, where he was exposed to treatment with “Gama – knife” rays.
Vlado is now feeling better after the surgery, and we wish him a quick and successful recovery.
